Dr. PK Biju is a member of the Kottayam District Committee of the CPI(M). A former all India President of SFI, he was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2009 and 2014 from Alathur constituency. Biju has a PhD in Polymer Chemistry. He has participated in 326 debates and have asked 580 questions in the Lok Sabha. He is noted for raising many issues related to agriculture in Parliament.
VP Sanu is the all India President of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI). He is also a former Kerala State President of SFI. He has led numerous struggles against the anti-student policies of the BJP-led central government.
A member of the CPI(M) Kerala State Committee, A Pradeep Kumar is currently a member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly representing Kozhikode North constituency. He is also the Chairperson of the Ethics Committee of Legislative Assembly and Vice-President of the Kerala Football Association. Pradeep Kumar is a former Joint Secretary of SFI, and was elected to the Legislative Assembly in 2006 and 2011. His interventions as an MLA to modernise schools through the PRISM (Promoting Schools to International Standards through Multiple Interventions) initiative, and his efforts to upgrade healthcare facilities have won widespread praise.
P Jayarajan is a member of the CPI(M) Kerala State Committee, and was the District Secretary of the Party in Kannur. He survived a brutal assassination attempt by the Sangh Parivar, and is a living symbol of resistance against the political violence of the RSS-BJP. He was elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly in 2001 and 2006.
PK Sreemathy is a member of the Central Committee of the CPI(M), and the treasurer of the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA). Currently a member of parliament from Kannur Lok Sabha constituency, she was elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly from the Payyannur constituency in 2001 and 2006. PK Sreemathy has served as the Minister for Health & Social Justice in the LDF Ministry led by VS Achuthanandan during 2006-11. She has actively intervened in Parliament on the women's reservation bill and other issues of women. She has participated in 137 debates and asked 497 questions in the 16th Lok Sabha.
KP Satheesh Chandran is a member of the CPI(M) Kerala State Committee, and was the Kasaragod District Secretary of the Party for 10 years. He was elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly from Thrikkarippur constituency in 1996 and 2001. He holds bachelors degrees in History and Economics. He is a former member of the Central Executive Committees of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI). He has worked as the editor of ‘Student’ magazine (the SFI’s magazine), and in the editorial board of ‘Yuvadhara’ (the magazine of the DYFI).
